Kate Middleton and Prince William traveled to Wales just before the coronation of King Charles and Queen Camilla.

The pair met Central Beacons Mountain Rescue Team volunteers who protect climbers and pedestrians on neighboring mountains.

They participated in training activities like rappelling and medical support exercises.

Prince William rappelled down about 30 ft of rocks followed by Kate.

They met the rescue team's border collies and praised them with pets and head pats.

The couple also visited Dowlais Rugby Club and ordered pizzas from the Little Dragon Pizza Van.

Peter Morris, the pizza van owner, said making pizza for the future king and queen was surreal.

William and Kate want to strengthen their bond with Wales and represent its people.

The royal family is seeing some of the U.K. before the coronation on May 6.
